Armed hold up, arms up
Demonstrator: Mark Class: Men Level: Advanced
Strategy: If you are held up by someone with a weapon, you are best advised to follow the instructions of your assailant and do not resist.
Personal safety is more important than property.
Try to stay calm. Do not stare at your assailant or do anything to make them uneasy.
If you believe the assailant intends to physically harm you or take you to another destination, then you may consider a defensive move as below.
When your arms are raised it is easier to come down and grab the arm holding the weapon.
Hold the arm with the weapon out of your way, as you wrap your other arm around the assailant's neck.
Hold the arm with the weapon up and away from you, as you pull the head down, applying pressure to the assailant's neck area.
Lean back to apply further pressure.
