Unwanted car lift
Demonstrator: Jason Class: General Level: Novice
Strategy: Children should know never to accept a lift off someone without their parent's permission, no matter what is offered or said.
It is a good idea for families to have a secret code word that can be used to confirm that an unexpected lift is all right or a message sent is true.
Always keep a safe distance so if someone makes you feel unsafe you can either walk quickly or run away.
Go straight to a safe place, such as a shop or predetermined safety house and explain what happened.
Also tell a parent, a teacher or a policeman.
If someone grabs you, make as much NOISE as possible to attract help.
Yell, scream and shout "No!" " Help!" "Call the Police!"
You may also escape by kicking, punching or throwing an object like a bag into the attacker's face and scatter your belonging everywhere to distract and deter the attacker. Photos: 1. Never accept unexpected lifts or gifts. 2. Throwing bag in attacker's face. |
