Vulnerable areas to attack
Demonstrator: Lyn Class: Women Level: Novice Strategy: The most vulnerable areas that are easy to attack are mostly located down the centre of the body.
Eg: Eyes, Nose, Throat, Solar Plexus, Groin, Knees and Shins.
Make as much noise as possible to attract attention and unsettle your attacker.
Yell, scream and shout, "No! No! Nooo!!" "Help! This person is attacking me!" "Call 000! Call the Police!" or "Fire!"
People are also less inclined to assist you if the attack appears to be a domestic disturbance.
Yelling, "Fire!" rather than "Rape!" is more likely to attract someone's attention.
Be prepared to risk everything to attract attention and escape if the attacker wishes to take you to another location.
Statistically victims are far worse off when taken to another location and are given less opportunity to get help or escape.
Note: "000" is the number for emergencies Australia wide, although some mobile phones use "112".
Check for the correct emergency call number for your mobile phone and for the country you are in. Photo: Finger strike to eyes and kick to groin. |
