Jiu-Jitsu and BBJ Gi uniforms for competition and for training in popular brands such as Dragon Fight Wear, Blaze and Hayabusa can be purchased online at Universal Self Defence.

The Jiu-Jitsu Gi is not only used for BBJ and Jiu-Jitsu but other martial artists that practise grappling and/or train for MMA even though a Jiu-Jitsu Gi is no longer worn during a MMA competition match it is still an important part of the MMA fighters ground fighting training.

Competition Crystal Weave BJJ Jiu-Jitsu Uniforms
The most popular top performing Dragon fight wear Jiu-Jitsu Gi comes in white, blue or black colour.

The fabric is of similar strength to the traditional double weave Gi but it is not as heavy and much more durable than a single weave Jiu-Jitsu Gi so they are considered to be a far more high performing Gi making them ideal for BJJ competition and for training.

The Competition Crystal Weave BJJ Jiu-Jitsu Uniform Gi's come with a great design featuring the Dragon Fight Wear BJJ warrior style embroidery on the back and down the legs, Australian and Brazilian flag badges on the shoulders and Grappler and Dragon logos on the arms so the uniform really looks fully equipped and ready for action.

The Gi jacket that comes with the Competition Crystal Weave BJJ Uniform is the 550 gsm competition weight and it has collars made with thick rip stop fabric and rubber inserts so they are more flexible and comfortable.

They are made from 100 percent cotton and have heavy duty stitching over the entire uniform and triple stitched reinforcement in all the major stress point areas to cope with the rigours of Jiu-Jitsu and BJJ grappling training.

The Gi pants are also great for competition and training as they are made from 10 oz rip stop fabric so they are tough but kept lightweight and are reinforced with double layered knee patches. The pants also come with a wide drawstring that feeds through wide loops around the waist so they stay on tight during grappling and are easy to tie up. The extra reinforced stitching around the knee area on the Gi pants is great for the extra work that is done when grappling.

At Universal Self Defence you can also buy just the Dragon Fight Wear competition BJJ Jiu-Jitsu pants or the Dragon BJJ Belts Pro Deluxe Jiu-Jitsu coloured belts which have an extra wide black tip.

Hayabusa Pro Jiu Jitsu Gi
The Hayabusa high performance Pro Jiu Jitsu Gi is made from a revolutionary triple weave rip stop 100 percent cotton fabric and yet it is still very lightweight so you can move around much more freely than other more traditional style Jiu Jitsu Gi's.
Like all Hayabusa products their Jiu Jitsu Gi design looks fantastic and they are very comfortable to wear and a pure pleasure to train in.
